Mt. Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, Africa - 19,340'

To help raise money for the Olivia Wood Scholarship Fund I am scheduled to climb one of the seven highest mountain peaks in the world, Mt. Kilimanjaro (19,340') in Tanzania, Africa in February 2008 with Thompson Safaris. My goal is to reach the summit on February 25th which is the fifth anniversary of her passing - to the day. I am raising money from family, friends and corporate sponsors.

The Olivia Wood Scholarship Fund was started in February 2003 in memory of our daughter Olivia who left us nine days after her 8th birthday. Olivia was born with a congenital heart defect but she never let any medical condition slow her down. She lived a very active and wonderful life and we continue to see that in her loving identical twin sister Julia!

This scholarship is awarded annually to a member of the senior class who is graduating from the Foxboro Regional Charter School (Foxboro, MA) where Olivia once attended and Julia is a student.
